A little about me !

Hi, Welcome

It’s great you are taking the time to look at my crazy doggy pics ! 

As you can tell they are somewhat "outside the box" or is that Kennel ?

I’ve been sketching since I was a child. I was lucky enough to have dogs and cats so they were my go to inspiration.

Over the years I have painted most subjects. In my spare time you would often find me painting pet portraits for commissions.

A few years ago I was inspired by the famous painting of “ Dogs Playing Pool “ by the famous artist Cassius Marcellus Coolidge.

So I set to work and produced my first work “ Paw Prints in the Sand ” people were quite amused with it and asked me for prints . I eventually started to display and sell them at a local gallery

Having recently retired I find myself with the opportunity I had been waiting for, to have my own website to share my ideas with anyone interested in my work.

Along with a quirky sense of humour and having some artistic background.

( I have a degree in technical illustration )

I set to task of producing what you see now. Using conventional methods at first. Then I was introduced to the iPad.

Amazingly to me, I found I could replicate what I painted with conventional methods and get the same results  on my iPad. ( But crucially no mess to clean up ! )    

My aim has always been to capture the playful spirit of our canine friends. Luckily I get most my doggy references from family and friends with dogs. I try to evoke lively and colourful pieces that add humour and charm, sparking smiles and adding sense of doggy fun for all to enjoy !
